Por mucho que me guste el hip hop, r&b, crank&blues, ya se echa de menos una buena sesión de house por lo que un grupo de irreductibles europeos amantes del house iremos a una buena sesión en Avalon, Hollywood (usando el presupuesto para comida del resto del mes)

Sander Kleinemberg fue el mejor dj europeo del 2006 y ha remezclado a Justin Timberlake y Janet Jackson entre otros. No había escuchado mucho de este guayabo, pero me he descargado alguna sesión y creo que me gustará. Partiendo de house, tira bastante hacia minimal con algunos toques electro y producción de estilo norteamericana (ritmos más cuadrados y menos orgánicos que por ejemplo, balearic, mi subestilo de house preferido). Vamos, que no es mi querido Hed Kandi, se parece más a Funky Green Dogs o la movida garage americana. Espero que alterne un poco con vocal porque si no se va hacer duro tragar electro duro hasta las 6-7am.

Avalon es un club bastante mítico de LA, situado en Sunset Strip, Hollywood. Es un viejo cine reciclado, y conserva algunos detalles añejos. Por ejemplo:

Prince, Madonna, The Rolling Stones and others regularly came to party at The Palace. (Olivia Newton John even had her wedding reception there.)

The '90s brought a new owner and its stage played a role in the ever-evolving music scene. Nirvana, Smashing Pumpkins, and Soundgarden headlined. Nine Inch Nails and The Beastie Boys performed multiple nights to kick off their world tours. Dance nights reflected changing musical influences by hosting some of the best known DJs in the world, such as Frankie Knuckles, Goldie, and The Dust Brothers. The Palace also played host to many movie premiere and wrap parties, industrial events and awards shows. Famous politicians too appeared at noteworthy Palace events; during one, President Bill Clinton gave his historic "don't ask, don't tell" speech. Some bands, like The Rolling Stones, Prince, Tina Turner, and Oingo Boingo performed there just because it was The Palace.

La zona de alrededor está llena de bares y restaurantes, y normalmente hay cola de mil pares, así que hemos reservado mesita... que para algo somos MBAs (la realidad es que somos pobres estudiantes hambriendos, no se confunda)
